Roman Reigns Comments On Potential WrestleMania Match With The Rock

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been champion for over 700 days, as the longest championship reign of the modern era continues to move along.

Many have theorised that a potential clash between the Head of the Table and his cousin, some guy named Dwayne Johnson, may be on WWE’s radar as a potential match at next year’s WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, apparently Dwayne is big in Hollywood.

Dwayne has teased a potential match between himself and Roman in recent episodes of his Young Rock sitcom, which naturally got fans talking as it seems the match is on his mind.

Roman recently spoke to the Sports Illustrated Media podcast, where he was asked about the teases on the show, and the chance of a potential match between the two cousins.

He said:

“Dwayne’s dropping it within his own project, so it’s got to be pretty good. It’s got to be pretty special. I think that just goes to show the clamoring, the buzz for it, the chatter for it, the wishful thinking, is something that he definitely played into within “Young Rock “, which as you know, with him, everything’s highly strategical. A lot of synergy with everything that he does with the projects that he’s guiding and has in mind. So yeah, I would say just based off that alone, it looks even better than it did last time we spoke.”

Reigns is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre at the upcoming Clash at the Castle show in Cardiff on September 3.
