Roman Reigns has opened up on his potential WWE retirement and what he has left to achieve in the company.

With Roman Reigns now on a part time schedule in the company entering his 14th year on the main roster, as well as taking on more acting roles, there has been questions on how much longer Roman will remain active in WWE.

With John Cena and AJ Styles retiring in recent months, as well as names such as Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio also potentially wrapping up their careers soon, Roman has addressed potentially ending his WWE career.

Roman Reigns Says That He Is ‘Almost’ Retired

Speaking to Nico Leonard, Roman was discussing his collection of watches, when he was asked if he would play golf with Nico following his WWE career.

Roman noted that he would potentially take up golf when his career is over, and that he is ‘almost’ retired.

Roman Reigns On What He Has Left To Accomplish

Nico would later go on to ask Roman why he continues on if he has already accomplished everything in the company, and what he has left to achieve.

Roman noted that he does sometimes think to himself ‘why am I doing this’, but said that he is just not ready to call it a day yet.

He said:

“There are some days when I’m trying to get back in that elite level fitness or mindset, I think to myself ‘why am I doing this?’

“But I’m quickly reminded that, there’s a content sickness, I’m just not ready yet, I feel like I still have more.

“I’m very happy with what I’ve done the past few years, and I could hang my hat on that, but I know I still have more to offer.

“There’s not any accolade I could win in wrestling now, but I can take a championship and showcase what happens to a championship when you put it on a megastar. That’s my goal, is to showcase the difference of when I have a title and everyone else has one.”

One Final World Championship Run For Roman Reigns?

With Roman Reigns discussing a potential retirement, his World Heavyweight Championship main event with CM Punk could end up leading to his final world title reign in WWE.

However, whether or not Roman should win the title is up for debate, with Roman’s schedule providing a potential hurdle on a title reign, while Punk continues to put out great work with the title.

While WrestleMania 42 may not be the right time to crown Reigns champion again, he should secure another world championship before it’s all said and done.
