Roman Reigns has now reacted to a viral video of a John Cena fan crying following the main event of SummerSlam.
At the August 21 pay-per-view, Reigns defeated Cena to retain his Universal Championship. A clip has since been circulating on Twitter of a young fan watching the closing moments of the contest, weeping after the Tribal Chief pinned his hero.
Reigns has commented on the video, pointing out that he told everybody that he’d leave the Allegiant Stadium with the Universal Title. Calling himself a man of his word, Reigns tweeted:
“Your Tribal Chief keeps his promises kid. #ManOfMyWord“
Following the match, Brock Lesnar made his WWE return. After SummerSlam went off the air, Lesnar attacked Cena, laying the 16-time World Champion out with an F5.
It has been announced that The Beast will appear on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown. Becky Lynch is also set to appear on the upcoming show, following her return and SmackDown Women’s Championship victory during The Biggest Party of the Summer.
