After the gut-wrenching news on WWE Raw last night that Roman Reigns has restarted his battle against leukemia, there has been a unified outpouring of support for the former Universal Champion, the likes of which only happen during times like these.
There have been videos, tweets, and all manner of emotional tributes to Roman, as wrestlers, personalities and fans alike wish him well on his upcoming battle.

These few examples are of course, just the tip of the iceberg, as the entire wrestling world has come together to show their combined strength. It’s a shame it takes something as brutal as this to unite the fans, but it just goes to show what can be achieved when we come together.
WWE themselves have released an official statement on the situation as well.
“Tonight on Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns (aka Joe Anoa’i) announced that he is relinquishing the WWE Universal Championship and taking a leave of absence from WWE as he once again fights leukemia, which had been in remission since late 2008. Reigns is taking his battle with leukemia public in an effort to raise awareness and funds for research in order to advance cures for the disease.”
Once again, we here at WrestleTalk wish Roman the best on his recovery and we send all thoughts and prayers to him, his friends, and his family at their time of need.
As a personal note, having had close family members suffer from cancer, I understand what it can do to people, and I wish Roman nothing but strength moving forward. Thank you Roman.
