A spoiler has reportedly emerged on plans for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.
Following Survivor Series, the next premium live event on the WWE calendar is Royal Rumble, which is slated for January 28, 2023.
Royal Rumble 2023 has already drawn a huge gate, recently breaking the record for the largest gate for a Royal Rumble event.
Roman Reigns is expected to be in action at the anticipated show, which will mark the beginning of the road to WrestleMania.
Per WrestlingNews.co, Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2023.
Owens notably teamed with Drew McIntyre and the Brawling Brutes to battle Reigns’ Bloodline faction in a WarGames bout at Survivor Series.
At one point in the bout, it appeared that Owens was going to pin Reigns for the victory, but Sami Zayn intervened, preventing the referee from making the count.
Kevin Owens notably feuded with Reigns early in his Universal Championship reign, at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021.
Owens challenged for Reigns’ gold at Royal Rumble 2021 in a Last Man Standing match, but ultimately came up short.
Since then, Reigns has unified the Universal and WWE championships.
He most recently defended his gold against Logan Paul at the November 5 Crown Jewel event.
