Roman Reigns Says A WrestleMania Match With The Rock Makes Sense

A potential match between Roman Reigns and The Rock has been one of the biggest dream matches in WWE. A WrestleMania encounter between the two has been speculated about for years and now Reigns has once again commented on it.

Speaking to Fox Sports 1, Reigns said he thinks a match with The Rock would make sense at WrestleMania 39. This will be the event that is set to take place in Los Angeles after WWE announced their WrestleMania schedule for the next few years. Here is the quote:

“We’ll go to Hollywood for [WrestleMania] 39, and I think it just makes sense. He’s the biggest box office attraction for the big screen. So, to be able to take that and match it up with the biggest box office attraction in sports entertainment, I think some magic would be made.”

By the time we reach WrestleMania 39 in 2023, The Rock will be 50 years old. While he continues to be in incredible shape, wrestling is a young person’s game and a potential WrestleMania main event should be considered more difficult the older he gets.

Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion having won the title at Payback. He will defend the title against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble.
