Roman Reigns is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming movie based on a popular long-running video game franchise.
After being betrayed by Paul Heyman in the main event of WrestleMania 41, and attacked by Heyman’s new clients Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker the following night on Raw we have not seen or heard anything from Roman Reigns.
While fans await news on his potential return to WWE programming, Deadline is reporting that the former Undisputed WWE Champion is in talks to appear in an upcoming live-action movie based on Capcom’s ‘Street Fighter’ video game franchise.
According to the report, Reigns, Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Noah Centineo (Warfare) and Andrew Koji (Bullet Train) are all names in talks for the project, which does not currently have a release date.
As detailed in Deadline’s report, the film is set to be directed by Kitao Sakurai and co-developed by Capcom, however, questions remain regarding who is penning the script, as well as producing the movie.
Reigns’ most notable acting role to date was in the Fast & Furious spin-off ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, which starred The Rock and Jason Statham and released in 2019.
We will provide updates on Reigns’ potential role in the ‘Street Fighter’ live-action movie, as well as his WWE return status as more information becomes available.
