An update has emerged on creative pitches for Roman Reigns’ next WWE Undisputed Universal Championship challenger.
Following Reigns retaining his gold over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, rumors began to swirl about the next competitor to face the Tribal Chief.
Speculation has kicked up a gear following the WWE Draft, now we know that Reigns is a SmackDown-exclusive star.
Per WrestleVotes (via GiveMeSport), Vince McMahon has made a few pitches for Reigns’ next title feud, which will result in a match at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on May 27.
Noting that some of McMahon’s ideas have been scoffed at, WrestleVotes noted.
“I was told that Vince McMahon has pitched several ideas for Roman Reigns’ next challenger.
“A few of them were even kind of scoffed at, like ‘that doesn’t make any sense.'”
McMahon currently serves as WWE’s executive chairman.
Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia will play host to the final of a tournament to determine the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, with that title being added to the Raw brand since Reigns is on SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes has now opened up about his goals following his WrestleMania 39 loss.
