Roman Reigns Reveals Why He Was Pulled From Money In The Bank WWE

Roman Reigns has explained why he was pulled from the lineup for the Money in the Bank premium live event in July.

After the show was moved from the Allegiant Stadium to the smaller MGM Grand Garden Arena, Reigns was removed from graphics promoting the event.

It was eventually reported that Reigns was no longer scheduled to wrestle at the July 2 event.

On the Sports Illustrated Media podcast, Reigns confirmed that his schedule was changed so that he’d only be appearing at the biggest premium live events this year.

Noting that the change didn’t come as a surprise to him, Reigns said:

“The strategy for the first few months after Mania was to be on Money in the Bank, but once the show was changed and it was moved from Allegiant Stadium and into the arena, we re-strategized and we stayed on the path of hitting the huge ones going into the winter.

“Once Money in the Bank was moved, I was pulled from that and we knew we were going to hit SummerSlam and Cardiff being a huge stadium show, an international show, I knew I was going to be part of that. For me, it wasn’t a surprise, once I knew things were up with Money in the Bank, I figured there would be an adjustment there.”

Reigns also discussed his current schedule after signing a new deal earlier this year, which you can read more about right here.

The Tribal Chief will next defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle. Check out the announced card for the September 3 event right here.
