Former WWE Champion Roman Reigns has revealed his plans for his retirement from wrestling which will happen in the next few years.
With Roman Reigns working a reduced WWE schedule and wrestling less and less each year, there has been some speculation about the Tribal Chief hanging his boots up for good.
Reigns has now confirmed that he is thinking about his WWE retirement, which will happen within the next two to three years.
Vanity Fair has released a new article on Roman Reigns, during which it was confirmed that Reigns’ current contract will expire “after WrestleMania next year”, meaning after WrestleMania 42 in 2026.
Noting that he plans to wrestle for one or two years at most after this contract expires, Reigns said:
“After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max.
“Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
A transition to Hollywood for Roman Reigns has been talked about for years at this point, with WWE President Nick Khan stating in 2023 that they’d support Reigns on this path.
Speaking about a potential Hollywood move a number of months ago, Reigns noted that if he does make movies, he wants to make “really good” movies with experienced actors and filmmakers he could learn from.
Reigns will headline WrestleMania 41 Night 1 against CM Punk and Seth Rollins.
The real reason for Triple H booking this match has been revealed, which you can read more about right here.
