WWE Name Addresses Roman Reigns Schedule Ahead Of WrestleMania 42 WWE

A WWE name has addressed Roman Reigns’ Royal Rumble win, naming something he hopes doesn’t happen during the build to WrestleMania 42.

Roman Reigns won the second Royal Rumble match of his career on January 31, last-eliminating GUNTHER to punch his ticket for WrestleMania 42.

While Reigns now has a guaranteed title shot at the April 18-19 event, WWE analyst Sam Roberts has stated that he hopes that Reigns is actually featured on TV, and that the story isn’t paused for two months.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, the WWE Now/Recap host stated:

“Royal Rumble had a lot of stuff going on in it, some of it great, some of it not great. But Roman Reigns’ story to me was the centrepiece of it.

“I truly, truly hope that this is not ‘Okay, Roman wins the Rumble and we’ll continue this story in two months,’ because it’s such a difficult thing to do.

“I mean, it’s one thing to tell a long story in wrestling when you have television every week to slowly progress the story.

“It’s quite another thing when you expect us… like the end of a television series going into the next season, like this is the Sopranos and we have to wait two years before season five starts. That’s a difficult thing to do.

“Once season five starts, we’re going to be on board and we’re all going to love it, but for those two years, it’s going to get tricky.

“I would love to see Roman Reigns back to tell this story, the story that brings him back to the main event of WrestleMania.”
