It was reported the day after WrestleMania 35 that UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey, who dropped the Raw Women’s Championship in the main event of the show to Becky Lynch, left MetLife Stadium with a “severely” broken hand.
Per Fightful, Rousey is set to undergo surgery on her hand on Tuesday. They are also reporting that Ronda was backstage at the Raw at WrestleMania but did not appear on TV not only because of her injury, but also because she is taking time away from the company to begin starting a family.
Fightful is also reporting that although Ronda Rousey has given the company no indication of when she will return to the ring, WWE management is hoping that she will be back at the end of this year or failing that, early next year.
This comes after it has emerged today that WWE Hall of Famer Edge’s former manager Vickie Guerrero has revealed she wanted to be Ronda Rousey’s WWE advocate.
