Ronda Rousey On What Surprised Her About Brock Lesnar

Ronda Rousey has shared her honest thoughts on Brock Lesnar, revealing what surprised her when meeting the former WWE Champion.

Rousey and Lesnar were both extremely successful in the UFC, with Rousey dominating the women’s bantamweight division before joining WWE, and Lesnar reigning over men’s heavyweight division during his pro-wrestling hiatus prior to his 2012 WWE return.

During a recent livestream, Rousey admitted that she wouldn’t have guessed that Lesnar is super smart before meeting him, noting:

“I think he’s fantastic, I think he’s awesome. We kind of didn’t cross paths in MMA, he was kind of before my time a little bit but since coming to WWE, he’s been the absolute coolest. He’s super smart, I never would’ve guessed.

“In MMA I always just kind of assume, you know, fighters are all of a certain … They’re not the scholarly types, the most of them.”

Lesnar last wrestled for WWE at SummerSlam in July, unsuccessfully challenging for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

On the September 9 edition of SmackDown, Ronda Rousey won a five-way match to become the #1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She will challenge for Liv Morgan’s gold at Extreme Rules on October 8
