Since her debut at WrestleMania 34, WWE fans have been speculating whether Ronda Rousey will be aligned with Paul Heyman at some stage in her career, and it is clear to see why. Thecomparisons between Rousey and Paul Heyman’s client, Brock Lesnar are clear for all to see.
Well, it now appears that Paul Heyman has been working closely Ronda Rousey in her Charlotte and Becky Lynch programme, with Lesnar’s advocate helping Rousey with her promos, something she has been struggling with.
Now @SliceWrestling are reporting that ”Heyman being Ronda Rousey’s on-screen advocate is an idea still in play”. They would go on to add that this has been made more likely after Ronda’s apparent heel turn on last week’s Raw.
The report also suggests that this pairing could happen when the Raw Women’s Champion returns from her speculated ”hiatus”, which is set to take place after WrestleMania 35.
I am never one to suggest a wrestler should be paired with a manager needlessly, but this pairing definitely makes sense for all involved. Ronda’s promos have been poorly delivered and over-worked in terms of content, and fans have grown sick of her ‘humble’ shtick.
With Brock Lesnar out of the door most likely after WrestleMania 35 to focus on a return to UFC, WWE will want Paul Heyman to stick around, and his one-of-a-kind skills on the mic could be beneficial to Rousey, and the women’s division would feel elevated by Paul Heyman’s mere association.
