Ronda Rousey To Join Total Divas Cast?

Although far from confirmed, WWE decision-makers are toying with the idea of asking Ronda Rousey to join the cast of Total Divas to improve the show’s terrible ratings.

The idea would be for Rousey, who is a genuine mainstream star beyond WWE, to become a featured cast member.

Rousey’s appearance on UFC show Ultimate Fighter was the spark that her bitter feud with Miesha Tate needed to smash box office numbers on pay-per-view.

While there is unlikely to be anything like the same degree of publicity for a show like Total Divas, her involvement could certainly translate to increased interest in the women’s division.

As of now Ronda has not yet been officially approached but that is expected to change shortly. Especially in light of this week’s record low number sparking talk of the show getting cancelled.

Rousey’s high profile name could be exactly what the stale show requires to boost its fortunes.

Whether WWE would need to rework her contract to get her on board or if it would come under the terms of her current obligations is unclear at this stage.
