Hello! What about this for a match?
It is official – the first match confirmed for Survivor Series will pit the women’s champions from Raw and SmackDown against one another as Ronda Rousey squares off with Becky Lynch for the first time ever.
Rousey defeated Nikki Bella to retain her title in the main event of the historic Evolution, while Becky defeated rival Charlotte Flair in a thrilling Last Woman Standing match.
Survivor Series in recent years has become a battle of Raw versus SmackDown, with champions from both brands colliding in one-off marquee matches.
If that booking trend continues this year then we could have the following bouts to look forward to:
- Braun Strowman / Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles
- Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
- Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs. The Bar
Maybe WWE could go one step further and have NXT competitors against NXT UK champions, giving us Tommaso Ciampa vs. Pete Dunne and Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler as well?
Perhaps that’s wishful thinking.
