Ronda Rousey On Changes Made To WWE Ring Gear Ahead Of Return

Ronda Rousey has explained why she has changed up her ring gear, opening up about a new fear following her WWE return.

Rousey returned to WWE during last month’s Royal Rumble event, just four months after giving birth to her first child. The former UFC star has reminded fans that she is a new mom on a Facebook stream, stating that she wouldn’t be comfortable wrestling in her old gear.

The former Raw Women’s Champion opened up about her fear of lactating on live TV, explaining that she was worried about wearing a white shirt during her WWE Raw appearance.

Rousey said:

“Well, you know I said it maybe four months ago, and I didn’t really feel comfortable enough to dawn my regular wrestling gear yet. But I’m working towards it. Because it’s, you know, it’s hard when being judged directly to how I looked three years ago.

“Sorry if I leak through the hoodie on my screen. On the stream, which has become my new paranoia, which is that I’m going to start lactating live on television. Like would I, well on Raw, SmackDown, or wrestling or something. That’s why like, it was pretty bold wearing the white, white shirt on Raw. Oh God, please do not lactate.”

Rousey previously noted that, despite only giving birth in September, she was alway determined to make it back to WWE for Royal Rumble 2022.
Set to challenge Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38, Rousey has been announced for 15 events before the Show of Shows, including this week’s SmackDown tapings. You can check out Rousey’s updated schedule here.
