I think it’s safe to say that the Royal Rumble is the favourite match of at least 98% of WWE fans every year, so it’s important that WWE gets it right.
Generally, you can look at the entrants and from that you can pick two or three people with a realistic chance of winning. The 2018 men and women’s rumbles were both far better than many would have predicted, with two brand new winners being crowned.
Next year however, it looks like we may be getting a repeat winner.
WrestleVotes, a Twitter account with some very accurate rumour mongering of late, responded to a fan question asking who would be winning the men’s rumble in 2019 with:
Let’s just say as of now, it’s a repeat winner.

Of course that doesn’t exactly narrow it down, but I think we can rule out Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Yokozuna.
Previous rumours have suggested that the Rock may return to win the rumble as a way to set up a match between himself and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35. Obviously Roman would win that and it would just be the latest attempt to get him over, so a Rock win would be a total waste of time…at least that’s my opinion.
Hopefully we do see a new winner, because the Rumble is a brilliant opportunity for WWE to get new talent over if they actually want to…and then have them both lose at WrestleMania.
