Mark Henry Shares Honest Thoughts On Royce Keys WWE SmackDown Debut, Says He’s Going To Be ‘A Good One’

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has shared his honest thoughts on Royce Keys’ SmackDown debut on the April 10 episode.

Friday’s show saw the former “Powerhouse Hobbs” wrestle on SmackDown for the first time, defeating Berto in under three minutes.

Speaking on Busted Open, Mark Henry stated that he would’ve liked to have seen Keys’ focus remain on Berto more during the match.

Believing that the former AEW star is going to be “a good one”, Henry said:

“I enjoyed the Royce Keys segments. With the match, he stayed within himself, he stayed powerful. He made some mistakes in the sense that, if you’re going to hit somebody with something, follow it up with something.

“Don’t get caught up in the crowd, wanting to wave at your friends in the front row and all of that, because you kicked him in the ass.

“He hasn’t had a problem with mentorship, there’s a few guys that I know are in his ear that I’ve watched talk to him. He’s going to be a good one, I can see it already.”

In a backstage segment following the match, Solo Sikoa stated that he runs SmackDown, telling Keys that if he needs anything, his door is open.

Triple H later took to social media to congratulate Royce Keys on his victory.

Hoping that Keys remains a solo act, Henry continued:

“I don’t think that Royce Keys should focus his attention on joining a clique, I think that he should try to be his own man right now.

“But when you’re your own man, you rub people that want you to be muscle for them the wrong way.”

With Henry’s dominant runs with WWE, including with his Hall of Pain gimmick, the Hall of Famer knows what it takes for a powerhouse to get over in WWE.

With Henry believing that Royce Keys has potential, it seems like the sky is the limit for the former AEW TNT Champion.
