A rumor recently picked up steam that Keith Lee had been released by WWE in the midst of his months-long absence from shows.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed that WWE officials and talent have debunked that rumor and Keith Lee has not been released.
It’s previously been reported that Lee hasn’t been cleared for a return for health reasons, but specifics aren’t known as of yet.
Lee has said that he’ll disclose details one day, so it’s best to wait for him to do that instead of speculating and believing every rumor that surfaces.
He’s been off TV since February just before he was planned to win the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber.
Responding to a fan asking what the future holds for him, Lee replied “only time will tell”.
