It is believed that Matt Riddle’s awesome Cage Fight on NXT TV this week with Timothy Thatcher will be the “Original Bro’s” last for the black and gold brand as the former NXT Tag Team Champion will be debuting on the main roster.
Riddle’s debut on the main roster may have already been taped, as reports have indicated that we could see Riddle debut on SmackDown as early as tomorrow evening, a show which was taped on Monday at some stage.
With regards to what WWE has planned for Riddle right now, some have speculated that a reunion of Catch Point with Drew Gulak could be a good way to introduce Riddle to the main roster. For those that missed the news, Gulak has now re-signed with WWE after originally failing to come to terms over a new contract a few weeks ago.
Another fan theory on WWE’s plans for Riddle sees him feuding with SmackDown star King Corbin. In case you can’t remember, Corbin was the person who eliminated Riddle after just 41 seconds in the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match, so perhaps WWE is going to play off their history in the match.
Of course, nothing has been officially reported with regards to Riddle’s first feud, so make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on this story in case something does emerge between now and tomorrow’s show.
If you were on WWE’s creative team, who would you pitch as Riddle’s first main roster feud? Let us know on Twitter.
