Rumour: WWE Edits Out Crowd Booing Seth Rollins

One of the advantages of pre-taping a show is that you can edit bits in and out of it before you set it live, meaning it’s exactly how you want it. This was the case with this week’s episode of WWE Raw, which was taped on Friday due to WWE being on its European tour.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, it appears that there may well have been some tampering with the Seth Rollins segment on this week’s episode, as initial reports suggested Seth was loudly booed by the live crowd, and that it was often hard to hear him speak.

However, if you watched the taping last night, you’ll have noticed that the amount of booing was pretty minimal, leading many to believe the boos were edited out to make Seth come across as more of a babyface.

Interestingly, in an attempt to keep Rollins face, they had him defeat NXT UK’s Imperium faction in the UK, not exactly something that would endear the home crowd.

The reports are that WWE considered turning Seth heel at Crown Jewel, but that the idea was dropped for some unknown reason.

The fact that they might be editing out boos suggests desperation on WWE’s part, and will leave everyone asking “isn’t it just easier to turn him heel so that the boos work in his favour?”
