Last night on Raw, Liv Morgan was defeated in a WrestleMania 36 rematch by former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya.
While it would be great to see Morgan picking up some wins, the loss made sense as Natalya did need the win to put over her newly-established tag team with Lana.
While the match was decent, the most noteworthy thing came after the bout as Liv Morgan was walking backstage when she ran into her former stablemate Ruby Riott.
Morgan may have refused to speak to Riott on last night’s show, but many have speculated that we could be seeing the reformation of The Riott Squad with Ruby and Liv over the coming weeks.
With Sasha Banks and Bayley almost definitely breaking-up relatively soon, WWE is likely looking to flesh out the women’s tag team division, and the reformation of The Riott Squad is a great place to start.
It must be noted that this is merely speculation at this point. There have been no reports indicating that WWE is planning to reunite the team right now. However, for the latest on this, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
Sarah Logan, who was released from WWE in April, was also part of the original Riott Squad. With WWE reportedly offering some of the released stars new deals, could we also see Logan return to reform the original Riott Squad with Liv and Ruby?
Speaking of released WWE stars possibly returning, it has also been speculated that we could see the return of a former champion after teases were dropped during last week’s SmackDown. You can read more about that by clicking here.
