Rusev Day greetings are in order because the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ has finally stamped his ticket to where he belongs, the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’. On last nights edition of SmackDown Live, Rusev was announced to be added to the WWE United States Championship triple threat match, thus making it a fatal-four-way, at WrestleMania 34.
This came about after he replaced Sunil Singh as Jinder Mahal’s tag team partner against the team of Bobby Roode and the current WWE United States Champion, Randy Orton last night; the latter three of which were set to be competing in triple threat action for the gold at ‘Mania.
Due to tensions between Orton and Roode, Rusev managed to land a devastating Machka Kick on the ‘Viper’, and pick up a pinfall win over the WWE United States Champion.
He soon revealed to his partner for the match Jinder Mahal, that he planned to ask SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan to allow him to participate in the match that Jinder had planned to win, and invite Rusev to the Punjabi celebration.
Bryan obliged and gave us the best decision a SmackDown Live authority figure has made for a very, very long time in granting Rusev the opportunity his ongoing popularity has deserved.
#WrestleMania Day is now #RusevDay!!!!

Rusev is a former two-time WWE United States Champion, the first of which he defended against John Cena at WrestleMania 31, a match for which the then-Russian made perhaps the greatest entrance we have ever seen on the ‘Show of Shows’, by driving a tank onto the stage.
Are you celebrating Rusev Day on April 8? I know I am. Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter here, and as always, have an extra-spiffing Rusev Day.
