Fightful Select reported earlier this week that there was growing frustration backstage in WWE regarding the amount of effort being put into pushing Shane McMahon.
As you will have seen on SmackDown this past week, The Miz cut a promo on Shane, saying he was taking opportunities away from other stars, and this seems to have had some truth behind it.
One star who doesn’t seem too concerned however is Rusev, who is currently taking time away from WWE and has only wrestled once – in the Saudi Battle Royal – since May 17.
Replying to a fan who asked whether he was frustrated at Shane’s push, he said:
I’m not. It’s normal. He is the bosses son. https://t.co/kbkEUTqAPL

Another fan liked Rusev’s comment, and thought it was funny to see WWE stars “dunking” on their promotion. Rusev reminded the fan that he is not an employee:
I’m not an employee …. https://t.co/b9N6XQ9wVz

WWE stars are defined as independent contractors, and not as employees.
Either way, hopefully they’ll just replace Shane with Rusev and we can all be happy again.
