Former WWE star Rusev, who was released by the company in April, has responded to speculation and rumours that he could be joining IMPACT Wrestling.
IMPACT recently aired a promo video teasing that several WWE stars could be showing up in the promotion at Slammiversary next month. Rusev wasn’t shown, but a Bulgarian flag was, clearly giving that hint.
The former WWE United States Champion was asked about a potential move to IMPACT during a livestream, and he replied:
“I understand why you think it’s me, but I can’t confirm or deny. Or I don’t wanna confirm or deny.”
That’s a fair response. He was hardly going to sit there and say “yeah lads I’m going to IMPACT sorry to ruin the surprise”, but even if he isn’t going to be there, it’s understandable he wouldn’t want to completely shut the rumours down.
Whatever he decides to do, hopefully it makes him happy because he’s a legend and that’s what he deserves.
