Rusev Returns On WWE Raw After WrestleMania 41

After over five years away from WWE, Rusev made his return to the company on tonight’s Raw after WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

New Day and Alpha Academy were about to start a World Tag Team Championship match when the lights went out.

Rusev then made his entrance, with new theme music, and entered the ring as New Day left.

Alpha Academy stayed in the ring and were laid out by Rusev, with Otis being locked in the Accolade submission hold, so it at least seems like Rusev has returned as a heel.

Rusev had been with AEW using the name Miro following his release from WWE in 2020, but had been inactive since the end of 2023.

He was finally released from AEW in February 2025 and signed with WWE not long after.

There has already been plenty of other news from tonight’s Raw after WrestleMania, including WWE setting up John Cena vs Randy Orton, and a title change as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won back the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, before Lynch attacked Valkyria after the match.
