While others have been released from WWE today, Rusev now claims he is the next one gone. The Bulgarian Brute has been in an interesting position for a long time and has been rumoured to be on his way out for over a year.
Thank you All, Rusev out!

Amidst the news of releases, he tweeted out “Thank you All, Rusev out!”, indicating his departure from the company. We will update once the news becomes official.
He most recently went through a humiliating storyline where his wife, Lana left him for Bobby Lashley. This was a storyline designed to humiliate him as much as possible and it never really got resolved.
He has not competed in WWE since the February 17 episode of Raw where he and Humberto Carrillo lost to Angel Garza and Bobby Lashley. He has been sitting at home since.
Rusev had a long history of getting himself over through his wit and creativity while WWE continued to drop the ball with his momentum. If the news of his release is to be believed, he will have a great opportunity to go elsewhere and get over properly.
UPDATE: This has since been confirmed by WWE.
