
It is ‘Rusev Day’ once more with the return of the former United States Champion on WWE Raw, and a former associate has reacted.
Having been released in April 2020, Rusev headed to AEW, debuting as Miro in September of that year, with a recent comment from Big E confirming the star was heading back to WWE.
That return happened on the April 21, 2025, episode of WWE Raw after WrestleMania 41, and Rusev’s former associate, Aiden English, has reacted.
English, now known as Matthew Rehwoldt on the independent scene, previously sang Rusev to the ring in WWE.
Tweeting his reaction to Rusev’s WWE return, Rehwoldt noted his current status, posting:
“…and I’m still technically a free agent 👀”
That statement would be followed up by a tweet suggesting that he’s not difficult to contact, stating:
“Phone is on 📞”
Matthew Rehwoldt has served as a commentator for TNA Wrestling, along with competing on the independent wrestling scene.
The former Aiden English was also part of the same batch of releases in April 2020 that saw Rusev depart WWE.
In a recent report, Rusev’s WWE contract length was revealed, noting that he is part of the Raw roster.
