Hall Of Famer Discusses Meeting Current Stars Backstage At WWE Draft

A Hall of Famer has discussed a meeting with current stars backstage at the WWE Draft.

During the recent WWE Draft 2023, Rob Van Dam appeared to announce some of the selections for Raw and SmackDown.

Speaking on his new podcast “1 Of A Kind With RVD”, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed seeing Brock Lesnar backstage at WWE Raw. He stated:

“I saw Brock for a minute. He was leaving, you know, when I was kind of across the pass and, I said, ‘Hey, Brock,’ you know, and said hi to him. And man, he’s bigger than I remember. He looked like a giant. Maybe he had cowboy boots on, you know, thinking about it right now.”

“And he’s just so big and jacked, I’ve always been a fan of his because look at him and he’s so credible and so athletic, but that really stuck out in my mind.”

“Like, dude, I’ve always said, you know, he fits the part. He’s good for the business.”

On what current stars Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens told RVD backstage, he said:

“Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens was the first one to say, ‘Dude, the people are going to be pissed that you’re not drafting yourself.’ I heard that several times afterwards.”

Brock Lesnar will be in action against Cody Rhodes at WWE Night of Champion this Saturday. Meanwhile, Kevin Owens will team with Sami Zayn to defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the show.
