Samantha Irvin First Role Since WWE Departure Revealed? WWE

Former ring announcer Samantha Irvin’s first role since departing WWE has potentially been revealed.

On October 21, popular WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced her departure from the company to the surprise of the wrestling world.

The company acted swiftly in replacing Irvin in her role on WWE Raw, with veteran voice Lilian Garcia returning to the company full-time after an eight year absence.

It was reported after Irvin’s departure that her reasoning was due to her desire to pursue a music career, with fiancé Ricochet revealing that Irvin had hoped for a greater role on WWE TV as a “character” than the one afforded to her as an announcer.

This desire to perform will no doubt serve Irvin well in what may be her first post-WWE venture – a role on BET comedy series Churchy.

Creator of Churchy Kevin Fredericks (aka Kevonstage), who also plays a starring role in the show, revealed that he has recently been working with Irvin – posting several images of himself and the former WWE name to social media.

Heaping praise on Irvin’s talents, Fredericks tweeted:

Got to work with an up and coming actress and musician. You all should keep an eye out for her. Her future is BRIGHT. @SamanthaTheBomb

In response to a Twitter user who asked whether Irvin could help promote Fredericks’ tour, he seemingly revealed that Irvin was set to appear in Churchy.

Fredericks wrote:

lol she’s in Churchy. That’s good enough for me.

While it remains to be seen what Irvin’s role will be in Churchy, the comedian would post another Tweet saying that Irvin “absolutely killed” her scenes.

We will provide further updates on Irvin’s post-WWE endeavours as/when they become available.
