Sami Zayn Legitimately Injured, Out For A Few Weeks WWE

An update has emerged on WWE SmackDown star Sami Zayn’s injury status.

On the July 15 edition of SmackDown, Zayn confronted Mr Money in the Bank Theory on behalf of the Bloodline. The star had his arm in a sling during the segment, which Theory made reference to.

There was some uncertainty surrounding Zayn’s injury, with some believing it was real, and others theorizing that it could’ve been part of a storyline or act.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Zayn is expected to be out of action for several weeks:

“(Sami) Zayn had his arm in a sling on Smackdown on 7/15. The injury is legit but it’s not major and they are hopeful of him being able to wrestle in a few weeks.”

Zayn hasn’t wrestled since competing in the Money in the Bank ladder match at the July 2 premium live event.

Mr Money in the Bank Theory has been teasing a cash-in for SummerSlam. Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
