Sami Zayn has been removed from the SmackDown brand’s men’s team for the traditional WWE Survivor Series elimination match.
Adam Pearce announced Sami Zayn vs Jeff Hardy earlier in tonight’s show, with Von Wagner from NXT stood next to him, seemingly as his new bodyguard to protect him from Brock Lesnar.
The stipulation was that the loser of Zayn vs Hardy would be removed from the team, and Hardy won, so Zayn is out.
No replacement for Zayn was named, meaning the team is currently Drew McIntyre, King Woods, Jeff Hardy, Happy Corbin, and whoever replaces Zayn.
The Raw team also underwent a change from what had originally been announced, as Bobby Lashley replaced Dominik Mysterio this past Monday.
It was also said on tonight’s show that Aliyah has been removed from the SmackDown women’s team.
It’s almost like they shouldn’t have announced the teams on Twitter.
