Sammy Guevara has commented on his TNT Championship loss to Scorpio Sky on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
On Wednesday’s show, Scorpio Sky defeated Guevara for the title, ending Guevara’s 42 day reign with the gold.
On Twitter, Guevara noted that the journey continues, tweeting:
“What a beautiful journey. The ups and the downs, Grateful for it all. I tired my best & gave everything I had to show the TNT Title is the most important title in professional wrestling. Last night wasn’t my night but it doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be. The journey continues…”
Guevara’s reign officially started after he defeated Cody Rhodes for the gold in a ladder match on Dynamite: Beach Break in January. He had previously won the interim title at Battle of the Belts, after it was announced that Rhodes was unable to compete at that event.
Guevara defended his gold four times over the course of his official reign, previously defeating Andrade El Idolo, Darby Allin and Isiah Kassidy to retain the gold.
