The first defense of Sammy Guevara’s interim TNT Championship title is set for this Wednesday’s (January 12) episode of AEW Dynamite.
On tonight’s Battle of the Belts show, Sammy Guevara defeated Dustin Rhodes to become the interim TNT Champion due to Cody Rhodes having to quarantine following COVID-19 exposure.
After the match, Daniel Garcia entered the ring and got in the face of Guevara before they had to be seperated by referees.
After the segment, Guevara had an interview with Tony Schiavone where he challenged Garcia to a match for the belt on Dynamite.
