AEW star Sammy Guevara wanted to be thrown off the top of the cage in the Blood and Guts match.
Sammy Guevara has competed in both Blood and Guts matches in AEW history, going 0-2 and played a significant role in both.
In the first Blood & Guts bout, Guevara quit on behalf of the Inner Circle after MJF threatened to toss Chris Jericho from the top of the cage. Of course, MJF still threw Jericho from the cage.
In the second Blood & Guts match, Sammy was tossed off the top of the cage and through a table by Eddie Kingston.
During a Highspots Sign It Live, the AEW star said he wanted to come off the top of the cage in both matches.
He said:
“I did try to get thrown off the cage in the first one though.”
“CJ was taking it. In the second one, Chris texted me and said, ‘We can do whatever you want this year,” and, we saw what happened.”
Sammy Guevara and Eddie Kingston have started their own feud since the Blood & Guts match and will now meet in a singles bout at AEW All Out on September 4.
