AEW
A new update has emerged regarding the AEW contract expiration date and potential retirement of Samoa Joe.
Joe recently said that he will “most likely” be retiring when his current contract term ends.
However, he didn’t provide any specific details on when that will be, noting that he prefers the idea of quietly disappearing than having some kind of ‘retirement tour’ focused around him.
In an interview for Lou Info, Khan was asked about Joe’s retirement plans, saying that he believes Joe still has years left in AEW.
Khan said:
“We don’t wanna think about that yet, because I think Samoa Joe still has years left with AEW, which is great.
“And I think we’ll focus on Samoa Joe as one of the top stars in wrestling right now.
“If and when the time ever comes for Samoa Joe to hang them up, I hope that AEW will be able to pay great tribute to somebody that is one of the most accomplished stars ever in AEW and one of the great champions in wrestling.”
