WWE has released Samoa Joe from his contract today (January 6), Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting.
Joe had been working as a talent scout and coach for the NXT brand since the rebranding to NXT 2.0, after he had relinquished the NXT Championship due to injury.
Joe was previously released from WWE back in April, before he was rehired by the company to work on the NXT brand.
The recent releases are reportedly being done to ‘directly’ remove Triple H hires from the company.
Samoa Joe has been released by WWE, Fightful has confirmed with the company.
