Samoa Joe will reportedly no longer be part of the commentary team for Monday Night Raw, leading some to speculate that the former NXT Champion has been cleared for an in-ring return.
Andrew Zarian, who was the first to report that NXT was moving onto Tuesday nights, has confirmed that Adnan Virk will be replacing Tom Phillips on commentary, also noting that Corey Graves will take Samoa Joe’s place.
I can confirm the report by @RajGiri_303 that Raw is getting a change-up for the announce team. Corey, Byron, and Adnan Virk are headed to Raw.
Zarian IS NOT reporting that Samoa Joe has been cleared, but his report that the former NXT Champion has been removed from Raw commentary has led some to speculate that an in-ring return is imminent.
Corey Graves is obviously commentating on SmackDown now with Michael Cole. It’s unclear whether or not WWE is planning on drafting in a replacement for Graves on SmackDown, or if they are going to have him work both shows.
