In a week that has perhaps seen too many tweets by former WWE stars, Samoa Joe has spoken out about his lack of presence on the platform.
Sending out the first tweet since his previous message of gratitude after being released from WWE in early January, Joe took to Twitter to note that the lack of presence on social media didn’t denote sadness, rather quite the opposite.
Joe wrote:
“My lack of Twitter engagement is simply based on my increased general happiness. It’s amazing how much more hopeful you can be for the world when you don’t spend the morning reading the world most prolific idiots propped up by the algorithm.”
Samoa Joe was not medically cleared of late to compete in WWE, but after his release last month it was reported that insiders expected to see Joe return to in-ring competition, with four long-standing indie promoters communicating interest in booking Samoa Joe whenever he is available.
While specific contractual details of his release are still unknown, if Joe is subject to a standard 90-day non-compete clause, it would be set to expire in early March 2022.
