A former WWE star wants to keep wrestling to create memories for his children.

In 2023, Santino Marella debuted for IMPACT Wrestling, replacing a sidelined Scott D’Amore as the Director of Authority for the promotion.However, Marella put on his wrestling boots again to team with Joe Hendry and Dirty Dango to face The Design’s Deaner, Callihan, Angels and Kon at IMPACT Rebellion.

Despite not appearing for a major promotion in the past five years, Santino has remained active in wrestling through various independent events and his training school. His daughter, Arianna Grace, real name Bianca Carelli, is currently signed with WWE on the NXT brand.

Appearing on Ignorance is Strength with Fabian Ojeda, Marella was asked for his thoughts on possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He answered:

“I don’t know. There are a lot of well-respected people that are pretty confident I’m going in. I don’t know. I hope working for IMPACT doesn’t take away from that anymore. If it happens ten years from now, that would be cool.”

“My daughter is 27, but I also have a one-year-old and a four-year-old. I just wrestled in front of my four-year-old for the first time at the Rebellion pay-per-view.”

“It made me realize that I want to wrestle a little bit just for him and my younger daughter, just to give them a memory. My son is only four. Do you remember s**t from when you were four your whole life?”

“A wrestling match is a big thing, he might remember that, or have pictures of it. I’ll probably have to wrestle when he’s seven or eight just to make sure he remembers the event.”

“I may have to wrestle for a few more years, sporadically, and give them some lifelong memories.”

Following his win at IMPACT Rebellion alongside Hendry and Dango against The Design, Santino announced that he would focus on his duties as IMPACT Director of Authority moving forward.
