An update has emerged on the expected return of an injured WWE wrestler.
Santino Marella, the father of NXT’s Arianna Grace, shared the update in a recent interview.
Marella confirmed in the interview with Fightful Select (subscription required) that Arianna Grace is currently in the rehab stages.
Grace’s team are hoping for a spring return and described the situation as a waiting game.
The Iron Princess was last seen in the ring during a taping of NXT Level Up on October 4.
Arianna Grace’s last TV appearance was during the September 13 edition of NXT.
In the match, Grace teamed with Kiana James to take on Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark.
Grace notably does not use her father’s ring name, despite his enduring popularity.
Marella said that he is fine with this as he thinks it will help Arianna Grace to carve her own path in pro wrestling without inviting comparisons.
He also addressed the prospect of a return to WWE.
Santino noted that while he still wrestles, he thinks his wrestling days are behind him career-wise but would be open to a role as a producer or color commentator.
