The first confirmed challenger for NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand & Deliver was confirmed on tonight’s (March 15) episode of NXT 2.0.
It was announced on last week’s show that Hayes would defend his title against four other challengers in a Ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver, with the first qualifier being set for tonight, as Santos Escobar took on Cameron Grimes.
In the opening match of tonight’s show, Escobar defeated Grimes to earn the first spot in the match. The other qualifiers will pit Roderick Strong against Solo Sikoa, Grayson Waller against the winner of A-Kid vs Kushida, and a third match TBA.
NXT Stand & Deliver airs live on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at a special start time of 12pm CT on WWE Network and Peacock in the United States.
