A major update has emerged on Santos Escobar, with Escobar signing a new deal following his WWE contract expiring.
With it previously being reported on October 6 that Santos Escobar’s WWE contract was set to expire at midnight, WWE confirmed Escobar’s departure by removing him from the Current Superstars section of the WWE roster page.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Santos Escobar is now back with the company, with he and WWE coming to terms on a new deal.
It is believed that the two sides came to an agreement yesterday (October 7).
Per the report, WWE management “considered Escobar’s creative concerns, with Escobar reportedly receiving a “sizably larger offer” than during any of their previous overtures. It was at this point that Escobar reportedly agreed to terms.
As of writing (October 8, 1:10pm ET), Santos Escobar is still listed as an alumnus on WWE.com, not on the Current Superstars page.
Escobar’s most recent televised match saw him, Angel & Berto defeat El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr, Pagano & Psycho Clown during the June 7 WWE X AAA Worlds Collide event.
He wrestled at both the July 26 and 27 SuperShow Mexico house shows in Mexico City and Monterrey respectively, teaming with Angel & Berto in losing efforts against Mr Iguana, Pagano & Psycho Clown on both nights.
We will continue to provide updates on Santos Escobar in WWE as they become available.
