Top Star Wants AEW To Introduce New Division AEW

AEW star Saraya has argued that the promotion has enough room for an official women’s tag-team division.

In an interview with Forbes, Saraya noted that she thinks that AEW should introduce tag titles for the women’s roster.

Discussing the potential expansion, Saraya said:

“I’m always for an all-women’s show, for sure. I feel like there could be a tag division we could get going as well.

“Like (women’s) tag team championships. I don’t think we should load wrestling with a ton of championships, but there is space for a women’s tag division, too.

“There are a lot of women we have backstage that are not on the show, and that could give them an opportunity to be on the show.

“There is always so much we could do with the women, and people don’t realize how much talent we have backstage.”

Saraya returned to the ring at AEW Full Gear, defeating Britt Baker in her first match since December 2017.

She will next wrestle in tag action, as she’s set to team with a mystery partner to face Baker & Jamie Hayter on the January 11 edition of Dynamite.

Saraya has now addressed speculation that her mystery partner will be Sasha Banks (Mercedes Varnado).
