Saraya WWE Return Update Ahead Of Evolution 2025

Former two-time WWE Divas Champion Saraya (Paige) has addressed a potential return to the company ahead of the much anticipated Evolution 2025 premium live event.

On Sunday, July 13, WWE’s all women’s PLE Evolution returns for the first time since 2018.

Given that the event is a celebration of women’s wrestling, speculation has been abound regarding potential surprise appearances which could take place.

Among the names linked with a return is Saraya, someone who has been linked with a return to WWE since announcing her AEW departure in March.

Speaking to the Orlando Sentinel in an interview conducted on June 17, Saraya revealed that she has yet to have any conversations with WWE despite all the chatter online.

Saraya said:

“I haven’t had a conversation with them, I know, I always get tagged in everything, as soon as there’s a mystery going around, they’re like, ‘Hey, she’s coming back.’ But no. I love the WWE, but no.”

Saraya has been busy with outside projects in 2025 thus far, including the launch of her memoir and very own podcast: ‘Rulebreakers with Saraya’, and according to the former AEW star she’s happy taking a “little break” from wrestling, but leaves the door open for a return.

“It feels good to take a little break from wrestling and then see the outpouring of love from people saying they want me back, I just want to get my feet wet outside of wrestling for a little bit and take care of myself this year.

“It’s consumed me my whole life. All 32 years of my life has been wrestling, so I just want to find myself a little bit outside it and next year, maybe come back.”

After departing WWE in the Summer of 2022, Saraya signed with AEW and made her in-ring debut that November at AEW Full Gear, defeating Britt Baker – her first wrestling match since being forced to retire after a neck injury during a WWE live event match in December 2017.

Over a year after winning the AEW Women’s World Title at All In London in August 2023, Saraya wrestled her last match in the company on the October 8 episode of Dynamite.
