Sasha Banks & Bayley To Possibly Recapture WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles?

This week on Raw, Sasha Banks defeated Nikki Cross in singles competition ahead of her Raw Women’s Championship match at Hell In A Cell against Becky Lynch next month.

Next week on Raw’s ‘season premiere’, Banks will have the opportunity to best Cross’ tag team partner Alexa Bliss as the pair are set to go one-on-one.

Based on the fact that Banks has a marquee match the upcoming pay-per-view, it is unlikely that WWE will book Sasha to lose to Alexa Bliss next week on Raw.

Should she win, Banks would have defeated both WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in consecutive weeks.

Taking this into consideration, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has speculated that Banks and Bayley might be in line for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match in the future.

“Sasha Banks now has a win over one of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions so that would predicate that Sasha and Bayley might get another title shot. I know Sasha said she doesn’t really care about the tag belts, but this is WWE and do you really expect them to remember what she said three weeks later? I don’t.”

As Johnson states, Banks cut a promo a few weeks ago claiming not to care about the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, so it might seem strange for her and Bayley to receive a shot in the coming weeks.

However, it’s not like it would be out of the ordinary for WWE to act as if something didn’t happen just a few weeks ago…
