Sasha Banks has filed a new trademark for her birth name Mercedes Varnado amid return rumors.

The trademark was filed via an attorney, Michael Dockins, who handles trademarks for a number of pro wrestling names.

The USPTO listing for Mercedes Varnado describes the trademark as follows:

This is the latest trademark to be filed by Banks.

Previously it was reported that The Boss had filed several other trademarks on behalf of her company, Soulnado Inc – those being Mercedes Mone’, Mone’ Talks, Bank Money’ and Statement Maker.

Those trademarks were for purposes including clothing, jewelry and decals, hinting at a potential next move for Banks.

Sasha Banks has not appeared in WWE since she and Naomi walked out backstage during the May 16 of Raw.

On the subsequent SmackDown, commentary announced that Naomi and Banks had been suspended and therefore, had vacated their Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Banks has focused on projects away from the ring. In recent weeks, speculation of a return has been rife after Sasha was spotted training in the ring with Juventud Guerrera.

Naomi and Banks were both said to have ‘agreed in principle’ to a return, but this has yet to come to fruition.

As of last word, talks between Sasha Banks and WWE were said to have stalled over money.
