Sasha Banks Update And Elimination Chamber Status

WWE are trying very hard to get fans to think that Sasha Banks is injured and may be a doubt for the Elimination Chamber on Sunday.

Commentators, Bayley, and even other tag teams are putting over the fact that she’s struggling with a shoulder injury and could struggle to take part.

Banks hasn’t properly taken part in a match since the Royal Rumble on January 27 where she faced Ronda Rousey. She has been on TV the past couple of weeks, but she was very quickly removed from any danger of taking bumps.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that this is because Banks was only partially cleared to return to the ring by the time Raw started, but that as of now, she is fully cleared to compete.

It seems that WWE are doing their best to keep Bayley and Sasha as the underdogs, which perhaps indicates that they will win on Sunday, despite being one of two teams to start the match.

You can either tell the story that Bayley has to carry Sasha through the match, that Banks fights through the injury and manages to do well, or even mirror last year’s Chamber match and have Banks turn on Bayley.

I think the latter is unlikely given that to have a tag division, there needs to be tag teams, so splitting one up would be inadvisable.
