Last week, WWE announced that Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks were absent from that weekend’s WWE Live Events due to ‘unforseen circumstances’.
Despite this, WWE remained hopeful that the match between the two would still be able to go ahead at tomorrow night’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
However, per PWInsider, Sasha Banks is not present at tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping in Phoenix, Arizona, and the word going around is that she may have been pulled from tomorrow night’s SummerSlam show.
Bianca also missed the Live Events, but travelled to Phoenix and is backstage for tonight’s SmackDown show.
WWE sources told PWInsider earlier this week that both women were cleared to compete at the show barring more ‘unforseen circumstances’.
It is unknown if WWE will make the announcement official on tonight’s SmackDown, but we will keep you posted for more updates.
